Since he got the approval with such short notice, he knew it would be tricky to get a ticket in time. He tried to get a ticket home from Texas, where he is stationed, but was only able to get on standby. He attempted several times to get on a flight, but he was not successful. He was starting to feel nervous, worrying that he wouldn’t make it home in time at this rate.
