Robert McNair made his fortune when he founded cogeneration company Cogen Technologies, which he ended up selling to Enron in 1999. He also owned power plants in New York and West Virginia. He helped found the Houston Texans in 2002. He helped guide the team to two Super Bowl wins. His net worth was about $3.8 billion when he passed away in 2018.
