Miss Kitty decided that she could take better care of the puppies and made a plan to take custody of them. Her only intention was to make the puppies feel loved and cared for. She wanted to take care of them as a birth mother would.

She began her plan by carrying one puppy in her mouth at a time and bringing them to an empty trailer. That was when people in the neighborhood say Miss Kitty carrying strange things in her mouth. She continued this process until she had five already in the empty trailer.
