Sea Turtles Flying
This plane is one of the three A380s for All Nippon Airways (ANA) after it got this amazing paint job at the Hamburg, Germany Airbus Paint Shop. These adorable turtles are all over it represent the sea turtles that are native to the territory.
Oh Canada
This Royal Canadian CF-18 Demo Jet from the Air Force. It showcases the classic Canadian maple leaf and is decked out in red and white like the Canadian flag. It was first revealed at the RCAF Anniversary Air Show’s 150th anniversary in 2017.
No Cares
This Nokair Boeing 737-800 is adorably painted to resemble a duck, with its bill at the front of the plane. This paint job is typical of Nokair, which is known for having their planes painted to resemble different types of wildlife.
The Rooster
This amazing single-prop plane is so small, it can only hold two passengers. It’s painted to resemble a cartoonish rooster, and all of the colorful details really make it stand out. The pilot is even decked out in old-school pilot attire to complete the full effect.
Rainbow Jet
This decked out plane is the Dream Chaser 5. The Lear Jet was actually donated by management and aircraft charter International Jet Aviation. It actually helps fly children who are ill all around in order to grant their wishes, so not only is it a beautifully decorated plane, but it’s also brings a lot of kids joy.
NATO Tiger Meet
During the 2003 NATO Tiger Meet, the world was introduced to the Mirage 2000RDI plane that’s painted with a tiger with fiercely intense eye. However, it never was able to fly its mission since it broke down.
NATO Tiger Meet 2
This plane was also painted in honor of the NATO Tiger Meet. The Dassault Rafale M fighter jet comes from France and is painted with an arctic tiger with intense red eyes that stand out completely.
Finding Nemo
This adorable little plane pays homage to the Finding Nemo movie. Owned by Pink Aviation, which is located in the Czech Republic, the Short SC-7 Skyvan 3-100 plane is painted like the namesake character, Nemo.
A-10 Warthog Christmas
The original design for the A-10 Warthog is solid grey, but this Fairchild Republic A-10 got itself a complete Christmas makeover, with the classic red, green, and white added along with silver accents, reindeer, wreaths, and snowflakes.
The Angry A-10 Warthog
The A-10 is a classic, but this one got a complete paint job that transformed it completely. It was painted olive green and got an almost shark-like painting on its nose, which takes its level of intimidation up another level.
Gulfstream SexyJet
The “SexyJet” as it is referred to is owned by Clay Lacy Aviation and it features a chameleon color. This custom private aircraft has workout tables that fold out, a full sized galley for food, a full private bathroom, and plenty of power outlets to charge all of your devices. Does it get any better?
Alien Tiger Hind
At the 2016 NATO Tiger Meet, the world was introduced to this “Tiger Hind,” which actually went on to win the award for best looking aircraft. The helicopter features an incredibly detailed paint job that makes it look like a seriously intimidating alien.
Sukhoi Su-57
The Sukhoi Su-57 is a Russian fighter jet, and this one features an impressive digital camo paint job, making it feel really futuristic. The USAF F-16 also has a similar plane, in case you are familiar with it.
Duracell-Powered
This plane is likely a C-130 Hercules plane, and this specific one is all dressed up like a Duracell battery. We hope that it’s full of energy! While this is not one of the most intricately decorated plane, it is still very cool to see and quite recognizable.
F-16 Fighter Jet from the Royal Netherlands
This F-16 fighter jet is a part of the Royal Netherlands Air Force is part of the aerobatics display team, which has a collection of colorful jets. This specific one was used bu the now defunct Demo team. The bright orange stands out in the sky, and the pattern on it is quite impressive.
Mi-24V Hind from the Hungarian Air Force
This Mi-24V Hind artillery/attack helicopter is from the Hungarian Air Force. It was painted to look like an Eagle, which is always an impressive and intimidating choice when it comes to animals to represent your military.
Star Wars
Here we see another display from Nippon Airlines, and this time they’ve gone for a Star Wars theme. These custom paint job planes have three different designs from the film series. We’re sure any die-hard fans would absolutely love to get on one of these planes.
Southwest in Colorado
This Southwest Airlines airplane was specially designed for the frequent flights to Denver that the airline makes. It features the Colorado state flag in the design, which happens to complement Southwest Airline’s colors and logo as well.
Just Do It
This plane is a Gulfstream, which is one of the most expensive private jets available in a line of already very expensive planes. This G550 was made even more exceptional with its custom paint job that includes a sleek color design and the iconic Nike swoosh on the tail.
Disneyland and Alaska
Alaska Airlines joined forces with Disney to create this beautiful custom airplane that features Disney’s logo for its 50th anniversary of Disneyland and one of its most iconic characters, Tinkerbell. We’re sure that any kids that got on this plane were very excited to do so.
Grizzly Bears and Sled Dogs
It seems like Alaska Airlines loves to paint its planes with amazing designs. This one features the sled-dogs and bears that the state is known for. What a great way to start your trip to Alaska.
Business End
Here we can see a close-up detail of the Warthog, which is one of the most intimidating planes out there. While it’s a small plane, it still spells out trouble for any enemy nearby. This scary face painted on also helps.
Lovely Teeth
This Skyvan 3-100 Short has quite the funky decorative paint job on it. It features a funny mouth complete with a toothy grin, lots of pink and yellow swirly designs all over, and bullseye-looking black and white fans.
The British Are Coming
This British Aerospace Hawk T-1A is used by the British Royal Air Force. It seems fitting that the British Royal Air Force would deck out their planes with the UK flag. These highly patriotic single engine jets are also made in Britain, the first of which was flown in 1974. They’ve been used for training since then.
Wings on the Wings
This is the F-15E fighter jet that’s used for the Oregon National Guard. It features an impressive painting of a bald eagle, with the bird’s wings painted directly onto the plane’s wings. The plane was first used in 1972 and has been a part of the fleet since then. This fighter jet has a perfect record with air to air combat.
Butterfly Effect
This airplane is truly breathtaking: from the sharp, clean lines of the design to the color gradient that perfectly blends the orange, yellow, and red. This butterfly plane was created as a private prop airplane and is located in Arizona.
Fastest Soda
While this is a Concode plane that has the ability to travel at Mach 2, because it has a custom paint job on it, it can reach only 1.7 Mach. The reason is because to reach Mach 2, the plane must be plain white. However, we’re sure that 1.7 Mach is still fast enough for most!
Toy Story
To infinity, and beyond! This custom plane features a massive 30 foot Buzz Lightyear on it. China Eastern Airlines joined forces with Pixar to create this custom plane, which is seriously impressive. Passenger also had matching themed boarding passes.
R2D2
Any fan of Star Wars will immediately recognize and appreciate this plane’s design. Nippon Airways signed a licensing deal with Disney and then released a line of Star Wars themed planes, including this one that looks like R2D2.
Paint Splatters
This M2 Charter Jet is often used as a private jet. This specific one paid homage to modern art and featured red, blue, yellow, and black paint splatters on top of a bright green background.
Eye of the Tiger
This plane is a product of a collaboration between Rossi Airlines and AmurTiger. The Boeing 737 has a giant tiger mural painted on it, which required 500 kilos of paint in order to finish. That’s how huge it is! Amazingly, this painting was all done by hand.
Let It Go
Frozen was truly one of the most popular children’s animated films in recent times, and Canadian WestJet Airlines decided to capitalize on its popularity by adding this paint job on its planes. This took 170 gallons of paint in a range of 23 colors in order to accomplish. We think it was worth the effort, though!
Shark Tank
If you have a fear of sharks, then you might not like getting onto this aircraft. This Warthog A-10 features a detailed shark painting on it, and while this theme would have suited a submarine as well, we think that the idea of a flying shark is truly intimidating.
Blue Digi-Camo
The top airplane is the Russian SU-57, and the one of the bottom is the US Air Force’s F-16. They both feature the digi-camo pattern and we think that only a true airplane expert would be able to tell the difference between these two from the sky.
Roses Are Red
This is seriously one of the most elegant and beautiful airplanes we’ve ever seen. The plane features a light blue background and is adorned with beautiful red, pink, and blue flowers, lots of twisting vines, and even a few birds.
Whale of a Plane
This Beluga Airbus plane really does resemble a Beluga whale! Of course, whales don’t have wings, but we’re willing to overlook that. Whoever painted this plane really knew how to make it look just like the mammal.
Northern Lights
Icelandair decided to decorate some of their planes as part of their “stopover campaign,” and this plane was given a makeover in order to resemble the country’s icnoc Northern Lights.
Black Mamba Plane
Anyone who enjoys seeing airplanes should look up the F-16 demo team’s schedule to check out a show. This is one of their fighter jets, which is highly maneuverable, and features a pattern that makes it look like a black mamba.
The Jaws Shark
This vintage military plane was given new life with this paint job that makes it look like the shark from Jaws. This incredible paint job looks absolutely incredible.
The Dragon
This fighter plane is one of the Italian Air Force’s aerobatics team’s planes. It features an amazing dragon paint job that helps it stand out in the sky with its bold red, yellow, and black colors.
