Catlett is found just about an hour away from Washington, D.C. that’s home to about 300 people. That means there’s plenty of space and open areas that are perfect to explore for a quiet getaway. You can visit Seven Oaks Lavender Farm and try out their Tentrr experience.
So what is Tentrr? It’s a company that joins forces with local, private landowners in order to set up a small glamping site on their land. The site includes a platform and canvas tent. Signature sites include a bed, Adirondack chairs, eating areas, and a camp bathroom.
According to Tentrr:”All the essentials were transported and pieced together by the Tentrr team, in order to allow for campers to travel worry-free and with the easiest convenience.”
At Seven Oaks, you’ll stay at an adorable canvas tent where you can watch the sunset. Explore the flower fields, where people can pick their own stems for just 15 cents each. There are cows, floppy eared bunnies, and plenty of other wonders of nature to behold.
The shower is a solar hanging bag with a house that’s located inside a three walled stall, and best of all, it opens up freely to the field so you can connect with nature completely. The only ones who’ll see you are a few cows.
Lull yourself into deep, relaxing sleep while enjoying the scent of lavender in the breeze. The stay is a truly a magical one, and the farm also offers some small upgrades.
You can get a lavender gift bag that includes a linen and air spray, an embroidered lavender sachet, a lip balm, and a farm post card and sticker. Sometimes they even contain delicious lemon and lavender cookies.
You can also purchase additional items in the shop, which include soaps, candles, pet goods, and bouquets.
